Does anyone’s end links look crappy like this? I’m wondering if any place sells better quality end links to go on the original bracelet.

Not sure what it is that you are calling crappy. Strapcode makes a very solid jubillee, too.
Top photo SKX009 on factory 44G1-Z-I. I think it fits well, maybe not perfect hell it's a cheap Seiko folded link bracelet and all, but not bad.
The lower photo is an SKX399 on a Strapcode MILTAT Jubilee. MUCH nicer, more wrist presence, solid bracelet.

It hugs the contours of the lugs and the center of it doesn't look as mashed down as the original on mine showing less of the case. But I don't want to spend $60 on a bracelet if I can swap the end links for something with a bit more fit and finish. So I was just curious if there's an upgrade without ditching the whole bracelet.

I kind of think it's a fitment issue. Your photo shows a rather large gap and you can see the top of the case cutaway above the top of the end link. I think you can fiddle with it and get it much better.
As shown on my SKX009 above:

You’re exactly right and it’s annoying. I’ll fiddle a bit. Nice pictures!

Are the ends stamped "44G1ZZ" or similar? The reason I ask is that there are a few different 'grades' of jubilee bracelet made to sell at different price points in different markets. Some nicer than others.

Could the lug holes be too low.

I fiddled and still not happy. It bothered me so, that I had this sitting around and strapped it on. Fits beautifully. Very comfy and kinda looks cool.
