This is one of my two current Seiko watches. On the back it says 11-3649 and 930026. What do these numbers mean?

More specifically, 11 is the caliber (movement) number, and 3649 is the case style number. Together, they form the model number.

Thank you Mr. suntzu. I did some looking a while back and if I remember correctly, the 11 is a manual wind movement from way back in the 60s. I found the Seiko dating thing but I can't tell what decade the 93 means; 69, 79 or later?

From the serial number I would venture to say maybe March 1969 or 1979. The fact that it is mechanical may mean 1969 as in 79 I would think most ladies were quartz. But this is purely speculating.

Thank you again. Gramma is not around any longer so I can't ask her when she got the watch but she had it as long as I can remember.

Does the watch happen to read "water proof" anywhere? Then it is 1969
If is reads "water resistant" it is 1979.
This is all based on the idea that we have to pick between 1969 and 1979 as our only choices.
Like Suntzu I really doubt that Seiko was making small ladies manual wind watches in 1979. That was the 'dead period' for mechanical watches.

Thank you for the extra info Mr. HiBeat. I looked again and there is no 'water proof' or 'water resist' marked anywhere on the watch, front or back.
I doubt there would be or have been any water resistance in this watch as the winder stem is kind of loose and looks like it goes through a hole in the case that would let water in easily.
Gramma was not a diver anyway

Seeing the style of the case-back might help narrow down the time-frame, but your 3 photos are not showing up, I guess due to your sharing settings in Google Photos not letting anyone see them. It'd probably be easier for you to re-upload them onto imgbb.com and post them again - I have had problems with both Google Photos and Imgur not allowing embeds or hot-linking on some web-sites.

If this does not show then I will have to get a new photo hosting site. It doesnât show up for me - looking at the source code of your post, I can see that youâre still trying to use Google Photos, but even when I extract the URL and copy-and-paste it into my browser, it still gives me the âno access allowedâ symbol.

If you can see this picture, it is from a Google search. Gramma's watch is exactly the same except her dial has a lot of bubbling under the paint near the top.

No, her name was Miriam, like in the Bible. Why do you ask?
Can you actually see the picture?

Is your phone number 867-5309 by any chance?
Nice watch, BTW. My maternal grandmother wore a small gold (likely gold tone) watch that she, somehow, was able to read without reading glasses! At 93 years old!

At 93 years old! I am old enough to get the phone number joke. Good one. The lead singer wore a two tone watch. I'll try to dig out my grandmother's watch it ticked a bit after sitting unmoved for 30 years before stopping.

Your grandmother was blessed with excellent eyesight. I can just barely red Gramma's watch and I'm only in my 20s
