I came across this watch on the Seiko site. It is perfect. With a width of 39.9mm it would work very nicely on my smaller wrist. The price seems a bit high but if I can find one, I will gladly pay the price. This would be my answer to Rolex I don't even know what an 8L55 is but it looks good.

Yes, that is actually Seiko's reinterpretation of their very first dive watch, known to collectors as the 62MAS. The model number on the original is 6217-8000 or 6217-8001. It was introduced in 1965.
I have small wrists, and also like to stay under 40mm. Hard to find dive watches that small unless you go JDM. The SLA is awesome! The 8L55 is a high end movement that is right below the Grand Seiko in terms of accuracy and quality.
If you can get one, go for it!

Thank you Mr. Cobrajet25. My search is on. In half an hour of googling I have not found one yet Maybe I will have to do a wish list thing on eBay.

If you want to save a whole lot of money, you can check out the new SPB143 coming out any minute. It's like a half mm larger but $5,200 cheaper! It comes with a 6R35 movement. You can put it on a rubber strap.
I'm biased, I have one pre-order But the SPB145 which is the same watch but a different dial color.

The 8L55 is a Grand Seiko movement minus the fancy decorations since it will not be seen behind a stainless steel case back. The GS's feature see through exhibition backs do they get the extra perlage treatment. It also beats at 10 beats per second, or 36,000 bph. A true HiBeat. That beats a Rolex😁 I have the 8L35 powered SLA017. Same idea but 28,800 bph It features the original shimmering gray/brown magical dial colors. So this is in that vain but blue and more refined movement.
