Too early for doughnuts... Just needs nos dial, bezel insert and hand set... or not! Still enjoying it’s ratty charm (May look out for a replacement “teardrop” And sweep, tho’ at some point... or not!) Have a great week all! Attachments:

Get yerself a new tear drop and try to minimize that stuff at about 25 on the subdial and it will perk up a ton with those upgrades alone.
I like a watch like this, not trying to be a museum piece, just itself. It speaks to its age and history and is probably more of a conversation starter than an NOS would ever be.

Thanks HiBeat! I don’t know it’s history, it came from South America a couple of years ago, so it’s damage could be down to humidity, but damage (or patina)aside it keeps great time! I’m kind of relishing the potential for renovation, but value originality for the reasons you describe, and enjoy it as it is, so that resto project may never happen! Might go as far as teardrop and sweep tho!👍
