I have an SRP777 Turtle that I'd like to swap with a SKX007 dial and day wheel.
Will they fit on the Turtle? My research says yes, but I want to make sure.
Thanks.

Dial - yes. straight swap.
Day wheel - it fits fine just have to be sure the wheel is a "4 oclock day disk" (swap a 4 oclock 7SX6 into a 4R36)
Best article I have ever found, I refer to it often:

The day wheel I'm looking at indicates:

Give me the part number I will tell you if it's a 3 oclocker or a 4 oclocker.

BTW, here is a new "SK5" dial and OEM hand set inside an SRP77X case with modded chapter ring, bezel insert, crown and crystal on an Uncle Seiko President.

I’m looking to mod my SRP777 with a SKX007 dial, brushed stainless chapter ring, and Kanji day wheel and send off to shadow watchmaker on Instagram for a patina mod that he perfected to the bezel insert, dial, hands and day wheel. The patina effect is awesome.
I am not a fan of the X on the SRP dial and think this will be a tasteful look.

Better PM the seller there is no way to tell if he is hawking 3 o'clockers or 4 o'clockers (OK, "3:18'ers")

Got my blue SRP back from patina mod process on insert, dial, hands and day date. The SRP777 is next to go out for the “coffee” patina mod. Kanji day wheel going with it. Full sun shot.

Coffee patina mod, faded insert, Kanji day wheel and a brushed stainless chapter ring to streamline the look. I think it’s cool. Now thinking about what strap/bracelet to use. Thinking maybe VTA’s GL8-31 repro. Or the stock rubber strap.

Lovely result, suntzu, I do like that! For the sake of clarity, ref date wheels, only C spec 7S movement date wheels will line up correctly with 6R/4R3x movements. A/B date wheels are indexed differently and will be on the *iss.

From today Great pic! How did you stain the hands and dial? it looks awesome. It was done by a guy on Instagram named shadowwatchmaker The dial, hands, day and date wheel, bezel insert were all treated to look vintage. Multiple styles of finish are offered. I chose “coffee patina.” I don’t know what chemical treatment he does but it cost $80. He did it and returned it to me 3 days later. The watch was gone less than 2 weeks. Very efficient and attentive. He has no website or contact other than Instagram. I had another SRP done by him.
