Thank you for letting me join! I have an Aqualand that was given to my by my wife as a gift back in 1996/1997. Loved it and used it for years, including in ten's of dives. Had the battery changed several times and no problems. Last time I was in a hurry and made the mistake to have the battery changed on a regular jewelry store at a mall (1 hour service). You get what you paid for! I went to the beach after that (not diving), but used in in the ocean and at the pool. Sure enough I started seeing condensation on the glass. It dried out and worked for a good while. Once the battery died, I put the watch away and forgot about. Several years later, I've decided to take it apart and look at it, and found a lot of rust. I took the mechanism out, and the movement support plate and cleaned the rust as much as possible. Put it all back together and add new batteries, but no sign of life. I am ready to take the mechanism apart and see what I can find. Any suggestions on what to do to bring it back to life? Will I need a new circuit board ($90)? Thank you all for any help you can give me! Mauro Attachments:
