One of the watches replacing my sold MMaster is this Squale diver on its milanese mesh. This watch arrived from Bahrain store just when I had a minor stroke several years ago. In the hospital I had to wear it on my right wrist, since the IV was stuck in my left hand!

$5900 for a bloody alarm clock??? tritto I guess if we have to ask, we just don't get it?
I know I didn't.
But they try and explain it HERE on Hodinkee's website. I found the article to be informative, interesting, and a better explanation to help articulate how this price point came to be. Seems to be a high level of sophistication and involvement of quality parts, companies, and people. It's still not in my wheelhouse financially, but it's cool to see a niche market brought back into light. I don't know much about the old days of travel alarm clocks. But, ouch, that price point is a little harsh for most of us plebeians. My phone is a marvelous alarm clock, and it never needs winding. Plugging in? Yes, but no winding.
