Today I arranged to meet a guy that I’ve never seen before, at a reasonably gritty pub, with a large wad of cash in my wallet. Together we counted the cash over a grimy table in full view of a few patrons. The only other thing on the table was a scratched up watch on a tatty rubber strap made around 50 years ago. Not a story I’d share with many... and apart from this group, I expect many people would question my sanity. Best part, it’s not even for me. A purchase on behalf of a friend. Happy Tuesday.

That was the best part; not for you! But with your new physique from the pushup challenge, I’m sure you could handle any funny business. Awesome watch!

Strange how, over time, your individual preferences and likes/dislikes change. When I started out in this hobby my collection was exclusively made up of dress watches and I didn’t like divers at all. Now I own over a dozen 200M rated ‘dive’ watches * When I picked this one up I hated the bracelet and swapped it out almost immediately for a leather strap. Now, I much prefer it back on the bracelet. * ‘dress’ watches still make up the bulk of my collection though...

I’d be keen to get a space view or a HAQ by Bulova. At one point the 6159 would have been my grail. I’m glad I’ve had a chance to wear one.

There are a few out-there watches that I've lusted after, acquired, and gradually stopped wearing. It's the more wearable ones that tend to keep my interest. That said, I'd definitely try the 6159 on for size, given the chance.

Where are we tonight? There aren't many new releases coming out and my local cinema is slotting in a few classics to fill the schedule. Can anyone guess the movie and iconic scene? Oh, this looks bad? What can the crew be reacting too? 😆

And pip wins the prize. And now the the money shot... No cool watches in this one - at least I didn't notice any.

I remember when it first came out and all the hype about its release. My date and I went to the 6:00pm showing and upon leaving I see a group of my buds in the queue for the 8:00pm show when of them asked if the movie was any good....and I shouted "the girl is the only one that lives!" I recall some subsequent shout but I can't remember what they said
