I hear you Don! One benefit of this warmer weather is that the stock bracelet on my SARB now fits perfectly! I can see I’ll be swapping between the original ☀️ and the Uncle Seiko ❄️ depending on the weather 😆

Still on vacation with my three-weeks-watch. ...but on the day of my leaving the postman rang 10 minutes before we left and handed over a package from Japan. This one (besides others) was inside. A229-5030 from 1979.

have i lost my mind? maybe i have, but it's 40mm around, crowns are really fun to operate, it's got 500m water resistance, excellent lume, dependable miyota no-date, internal rotating bezel, 13mm thick, and all-in-all, it's a very well thought out design...but most of all, i think this is what jules verne would wear....

Well it took a long time but I finally managed to rebuild a movement, and it work! Here’s what I put it in. It’s a bit beat up. But I’m mostly testing how well it keeps time.
