They only dived to 10m below the surface Only 10m Not too impressive but I bet that 6215 looked Amazing strapped over their 11.5mm thick neoprene wetsuit.

In the absence of a genuine translation.... Thanks Ross. Much more helpful than the unreadable gibberish I received. The most important sentence to me so far is "various clocks will be provided at the the request of the "9th Antarctic Research Expedition". Perhaps this is a reference to both the 6215 and 6217 62MAS "clocks" being supplied to JARE. Fun Stuff!

Thanks for the additional photos and information. The 6215 was a Marvel of Seiko Watch Engineering with revolutionary advancements. If anyone needed and deserved the increased capabilities of a vastly improved Dive Watch it was the Deep Sea Divers of the Antarctic Expedition. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more. Thank You! They only dived to 10m below the surface Seiko Chronometer Standard of 6 positions at 3 temperatures - need a fourth temperature test at 1 degree C !!!
