Hi all, new here. I've been a big watch fan for quite a few years with my collection continuing to grow. I live in the Metro Detroit area and work in the automotive field as a Mechanical Engineer. I have both new and old watches. New: Tockr Radial, Autodromo GT Series Team Edition. Vintage: Seiko 7006-7209, Seiko 6119-7420, Citizen Crystal 7, Accutron Woodie. Others not needed to list. Please feel free to move this thread if needed. I joined this group because I recently purchased a Seiko 6119-7420 that appears to be in very good to mint condition, with original H-link band and all. However when I went to set the watch I noticed there is a lot of play of the movement inside the case. I think a movement ring is missing entirely. You can also hear the rotor scrape the back with face up. The caseback reads "Open Thru Glass". I have tried to open the front by removing the bezel but cannot get it to budge. So I have 3 initial questions: - Is the bezel press on or twist on/off?
- Does the crystal require the fancy compression tool to remove or is it just a rubber seal?
- Is there a suggested movement ring to order? Steel or 45 year old plastic?
- The case is identical to the 6106-7549 but not gold plated.
It's only a $100 watch so I dont want to spend much on the service just yet. It's just really cool IMO. I thought, once opened, i could find the ring needed, order, install, and reassemble.

It looks like the ring could is this part number: 83209861 according to this website: Pictures!TableThis is my first time venturing into watch parts so uncertain if these parts make sense. The table provides the link to the pictures via google search through the Bezel row.
