Hello everyone, I'm just getting into watches in general, and right now I'm fascinated by vintage Seiko quartz, especially JDM and early 70s stuff with good Tanaka grammar and interesting dials. I know most watch folks seem to thumb their nose at quartz, but I think a lot of this vintage Seiko technology is fascinating. It's good for my wallet that collectors prefer autos though, since it means I can snag a Grand Quartz for under $100. Right now I only have two watches (both Seikos) in the rotation, a '77 0903 and a '74 3863. 3003 Moon Dial 4004 Stainless Steel Sunburst Anyway, I'm really enjoying these watches and I'm excited that there's a community for them.

I used to live right on the dunes of the Gulf of Mexico just south of Galveston.
Texas is a great place!
Love the GQs and KQs. I paid more for the strap & clasp than the actual watch !
