Continuing with my ‘not worn for ages’ theme today with this 14095 cased Sealion M55 Selfdater from October ‘63. 394 movement under the hood, the precursor to the 6205. The dial isn’t pristine, losing some of the paint, and I noticed last night there’s some crystallisation on the 8 o’clock marker. But it runs like a dream, and the bracelet is an absolute corker. And it only cost me £17...

That's a very nice bracelet for £17, leffemonster. I was listening to a Worn and Wound podcast this morning where they reckon that brown is the new green (which was the new blue). I guess I'm on trend 😆

I've been on a bit of a trend as well but nothing all that exciting. It's called finding a home for the orphaned strap....

Unfortunately, anything vintage is either 19mm or 22mm but there is one watch that I think it will look alright on but just a warning....it's a diver

I guess I'm on trend 😆 Do you listen to the Fifth Wrist podcast tritto ? Mainly Australian based, lots of different shows with different vibes. A lot of people get into it through a pod called 2.5 Watchmakers and pick up on the rest. (And I won writer of the year at their ‘Oscars’ type thing in December with a Seiko review so I might be a bit biased!)

I've listened to one episode, where they talked to Adam Lewis (who is the go-to guy for vintage Omega restorations in Australia). Interesting to hear Adam talk about how he has developed techniques, but the interviewers seemed a bit ham-fisted. I guess I was coming off a high standard though, having just finished relistening to Time4aPint.

It’s apparently very long so they’re releasing it as a two parter.
