Hi all, can anyone tell me if I'm right. After doing a bit of research I believe the 9T82 capacitor was a Panasonic MT616 Seiko part number 3027 29Y then changed to a MT516 Seiko part number 3027 V1Z. If this is the case it would be a lot cheaper to buy the 3027 V1Z about £10 and get someone to fit ,rather than being ripped of by Seiko Japan. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You are right about the Seiko part number. If they had it it would it only be $13 and change but none in stock

When you return to Seiko, they are overhauling the movement at the same time, as it's not a battery in/battery out job, it's a movement strip. If you have the requisite skills, good on you, it's a bloody complicated watch. There's a site with an exploded movement complete, I believe it's in Turkish though. Good luck.

Hi, thanks for the confirmation, I'm not going to try fitting myself or it would end up in a parts bin and never be done. All fingers and thumbs . I will order a couple as I have a couple of 9T82's and find someone to fit at a reasonable rate, not like Seiko's over inflated prices.

Just picked up 2 from Gleave & Co £25.68 including postage. Cheaper than the bay.
