I spent a few hours today watching a couple of you tube videos.
Time well spent.

Seriously? To my knowledge there is a bunch of companies north of you (which might even return to the EU some day) who produce much better stuff and don't use maize. You should check them out...

Ah so it starts my posts keep automatically being deleted again.... I met George Daniels a few times in the Isle of Man where he lived. My primary trained job is I am a coachbuilder. So many years ago I was introduced to George as he needed some panels made for a old Bentley he was restoring. This was while I was on my hols for the TT races one year. At the time I wasn't restoring watches just old clocks. He was an amazing guy. Hyper intelligent but a right erm... how do I say this nicely.... awkward **** to deal with. I didn't get to see his workshop unfortunately but I was very impressed with his car restoration skills for someone who'd not been trained.

That doesn't surprise me. He was OK with me but still very abrupt. You couldn't ring the guy just for a friendly chin wag that's for certain.

Trying to select a new avatar I had this saved. My gosh George was not only the mind behind the c-axial but he was a master craftsman with dials. This just blows me away considering the different patterns.

Not here !

I have much respect for the late George Daniels, also for Roger W Smith his apprentice turned master watch maker.
