I think from here on end, I shall refrain from expounding on what direction I'm going to pursue when collecting these time telling gadgets. Anyone remember me saying I'm going to focus on something other than dive watches? Well, I'm just full of you know what because I weakened yet again. This watch actually arrived this morning, 2 days earlier than scheduled. I found it on my porch after my morning run. I mean thanks FedEx but this could have gone pear shaped. Anyhoo, I went for a Doxa Sub 300T Caribbean. I've always liked these which could be described as iconic I suppose. Aside from the case, bezel and bracelet that are the watch's defining features, it's probably the orange dial that really makes it for most. There are a variety of colors and one that struck me when I saw it many years ago (believe it was Kelly Rayburn who had one) was the Caribbean version that grabbed my attention. So here it is and yet another honeymoon and/or fling begins...
Used to dream of getting the orange one but somehow I committed to getting the Squale divers. Also had to try the Moonwatch by Omega and had a nice one but the no date just bugged me and I ended up trading it for a lovely SINN chrono 103 ti TESTAF kit. It has a 200m rating!
When I saw your Doxa, I had to laugh at our watch addiction complex. I mean, I had just sold off many of my watches when I found 2 used Seiko Turtles and grabbed them.
I have a 300 Sub Black Lung reissue which I bought a few years ago, unfortunately it doesnt get too much wrist time as I find the bubble crystal a bit odd ans makes the dial feel too small, but its a great watch
