When Seiko unveiled their Presage 2020 Limited Edition nod to the 1964 Crown Chronograph I immediately fell for the green-dialled SPB129J1, and placed a pre-order with the Seiko Boutique in London. And then Seiko presented the Japan Collection 2020 which included a blue-dialled variant - the SARX081 - and I fell in love all over again. But this one wasn’t an international edition, with the Boutique confirming it was a JDM-only release. Since Mrs Leffe had a trip to Hong Kong planned it was added to her long list of ‘let me know if you see one of these’ - but then her visit was cancelled due to the virus. Fast forward a year, and I spotted one for sale this week here in the UK. I thought about it for a while, trying to decide whether or not I should pull the trigger. Needless to say, I succumbed, and it arrived yesterday. And it’s every bit as good as I’d hoped it would be. The blue dial and bezel are stunning in the flesh, and the yellow-green sweep hand adds a really nice touch of contrast. I’m one very happy WIS today Now I just need to decide what I’m going to off-load to pay for it...

Rolex man came and went without noticing the Doctors. We spoke Rolex and he certainly knew his onions. Plus he bought what he had traveled 400 miles for. Not this mind but these,

I have to mention, I've been stunned at the accuracy of this old girl. Is that common for a 6119?

Is that common for a 6119? it's a great movement, i've experienced them running pretty much perfectly, especially after a good service If they are serviced correctly. So not just a clean and oil. Pivots burnished, worn holes and arbors sorted you can get near chronometer accuracy with some of the movements. I have a 7625 that out performs a lot of chronometers I've had through the workshop.

Got this one out of the darkness. The time didn't need adjusting as it was still on the last round of DST, the day was also fine but the date was off about 4 days.

Kranz today, i just put an ad up for it again, i love it, but it feels like a mortician's watch to me, very somber and serious. being a scorpio, i have plenty of that energy already, do i need more?

Am I looking at a pair of Citori or perhaps Superpose. I would really have loved a Citori back in the day but $600.00 was a lot of cash for me back then. Still a beautiful piece of workmanship
