I haven’t been keeping up with the auctions lately, but I did check yesterday, and this popped up. An original small crown 62MAS in very good condition. These early ones are quite uncommon compared to the later big crowns, and are generally seen in a well-used condition. Strong price - ¥329.8k. It’s a pity they obscured the second part of the serial number

Thx for that Ross. I missed this one too. I reckon that’s a good price for a small crown model when compared to what the large crown versions have been selling for the past year. The last local sale(Oz) I saw was AU$8000 last month on twovintageseikos, an Aussie Instagram auction account, which seemed crazy at the time.

Never thought Seiko's would hit these prices. I had the World Timer with the same cal but sold that unfortunately. Regret that one. Wonder what old blues worth now!

You selling any of those by any chance? I might sell the 62MAS's as I never really liked them much myself. They were just cheap enough 7 years ago. The blue I love

Holy crap really? I have a NOS one in my collection. Time to flog it I reckon! twovintageseikos have sold hundreds of Seiko watches from their account, so i have no reason (except my usual cynicism ) to doubt the $8000 sale. I have no connection to them BTW.

Yes, that is odd. And another 62mas is auctioning on the previously mentioned account with a bid of $8000 lodged.

Sad to see a regularly contributing member disappear so suddenly. Yes indeed. Does anyone know what is behind this? I learned a lot from him and will definitely miss him.
