This was my Dads dress watch and I inherited it MANY years ago but I'm trying to date it to no avail! Original band etc! Its a great watch and to this day winds up and runs beautifully! Serial number is: 0316877 TIA

Somewhat not on point, but I just was looking through a yearbook for my high school from 1951. I was surprised to see that a lot of the guys were wearing watches just like this, down to the thin expanding metal bracelet. I'd say postwar on this, but not too postwar.
