What have you guys got in your collection that we don't see every day ? Hoping to maybe see a model that I've never seen before. I've really no idea of Seiko production numbers but I'd guess they produced 10's or 100's of thousands of the popular models. Maybe more ? How can you define something as rare when it's been mass produced in a factory ? Personally, I don't think of the 62MAS as particularly rare, I see at least a dozen for sale each year & there are probably more that change owners purely through word of mouth. I'd be interested to hear what models you think are rare & maybe even an estimate of how many you'd guess are still around. There's nothing particularly rare in my collection, but I'll pick out this 6458-600A as I'm sure that I've seen less than about 5 come up for sale in the last couple of years. There's not a lot of information available about these but I don't think they were in production for that long, I'm pretty sure that they were all JDM & think they came in black, orange, white & possibly green dials. Quite small at about 37mm across but they wear nicely. This one has had the insert replaced, I think it's for an a/m 4205 but I'm not sure. Probably should have cleaned the case back before I took this shot. 6458-6000 parts watch with correct bezel insert So what's in your collection that could be considered rare or uncommon ? Something we don't see too often. Or what would you like to own that is scarce ?

Well, the watch has not yet arrived but last week I bought a 6139-7010 from 1970. I am hoping that it gets here by Saturday but there is no guarantee that will happen.

Never heard of that model, had to look it up on google images. Is it like this one ? Very cool, l think the Arabic numerals work well on that dial.

Everething looks the same except the color of the hands.

I don't see a lot of these, but probably the first is the least common. Queen Seiko Special (haven't seen another one of these): 7a28-7020 (many gold and dual-tone versions, but very few of these): 6215 (These pop up every so often, usually a little worse for wear): 6138-8000 (The jumbo -8020 is common, but these Baby Pandas don't show up much. ): 6139-7020 (Not really anything special about this guy, just like the funky 70's case lines): Orange 2205 (you see a lot of black, and A/M bezels):

Everething looks the same except the color of the hands. There weren't very many of these watches on Google images when I looked & most seemed to have different coloured hands. Yours looks great, a proof dial too !

I can assure you I have been on "pins and needles" waiting for it. My own pictures will be posted once it arrives.

These were available in Japan. So rare that I can't get links for them. I'm always looking for the same watch that was also available with a yellow dial:

I can't say that I have any rare models really, but I guess I do have some in rare condition I suppose.

I don't think I've ever seen another of these. And only a few of these. Not that either is especially desirable. These are among the first Seikos I bought, along with an SNK809.

Depends on how you define uncommon. Pretty sure you won't see too many 6309-729B's that have been transmorgrified into a Tuna...

Not extremely rare . . . they do show up somewhat regularly but pretty desirable.

Has to be the 6M26 shown in my avatar. I often wondered what model that was so when you posted the number, I did a quick google search to see it closer up & came up with this pic from an old WUS thread. Hope you don't mind me re-posting it. What do the buttons do & why does it say 'Time' in the day window ?
