Where is that wedding photo of mine... Well, jokes aside. Just bought a box full of watches without telling my wife. AND I have done drifting with one these (photo from wikimedia commons for various reasons): Photo by Olli-Jukka Paloneva, 2005Source: commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Leopard_2A4_Main_Battle_Tank_(Finland).JPGStory behind the drifting is that I was driving flat out and came to a muddy corner on a trail. I tried to brake and turn, but tracks didn't grip so I quickly threw in a lower gear and hit the pedal. Managed to turn it in a sideway slide through the corner. Best feeling I have ever had with my trouser on.

I ice climb, which is fun. Also enjoy having my face frozen in some less than balmy conditions. ( in the photo still two layers, face mask and goggles away from full readiness, due to lower elevation and tree protection. Above the tree line all bets are off Rob That's awesome Rob. I would imagine it can get pretty sketchy at times. I know a few have perished while ice-climbing in and around Banff and Canmore which is just west of where I hang my hat in Calgary. Like anything, it's a calculated risk where training is a must. Good stuff.

I work as a race mechanic, have been doing it for 20 years now. Managed to do Le Mans 24h 6 times, Sebring 12h 3 times, Dubai 24h once, Spa 24h 4 times. Right now in Spa 24hours so will say that the last dangerous activity was the last pitstop 15minutes ago. Refuelling a boiling hot race car from a 200lts drum over my head. Done pitstops on sprint races changing tyres in 3 seconds, standing 10cm away from a car coming at 80km/h. Have to say I love my job.

As some of you long time members may recall, I used to scuba dive a lot after I got certified in 1977. Back then I lived in Ontario so most of my diving was on shipwrecks in the Great Lakes. As experience grew I and my buddies graduated to some more challenging dives such as those on The Empress of Ireland which sank in 1914 off the Gapse Peninsula in the St Lawrence River. After colliding with the Norweign collier Storstad, The Empress sank in 14 minutes claiming 1012 souls. While not excessively deep, 160ft at the stern and 110 on the port side, it was a tricky dive given the current, visibility and overhead environment when entering the wreck. They were decompression dives and most of us used twin 80's and a pony bottle or two. I had the privilege in participating in 4 such expeditions. It was scary but exhilarating at the same time. My avatar is a side-scan image of the Empress. Fast forward to present, my diving days have ended since moving from Vancouver to Calgary. Had I remained back east, I would probably have got into technical diving like my buddie did, since exploring wrecks was the primry focus. Diving off Vancouvr Island was far more relaxing but just as rewarding given the abundant marine life. I long to return to the water but my drysuit has shrunk Hope to get back to some warm water diving but I got whip my butt back into shape! Here's a shot from one of our Empress Expeditions. That's yours truly with the Tilley Hat on centre left. The two chaps on the right; Dave Bright with the blue tuque and Michell Guerin subsequently perished years later....both on re-rebreathers. Dave died n an Andrea Doris expedition. Both guys extremely experienced in mixed-gas diving by the way.

I unfortunately don’t have any photos, but a college friend’s mom was really into this self help guy called Tony Robbins back in the mid 80s and somehow I got to go to one of his weird seminars in Atlanta in 1985. One of the gimmicks of the whole deal was you had to do a fire walk. So yeah, I did a fire walk over 8’ of red hot oak embers.

Aloha Sir,
You know Russ we we the best of Friends for so long and we still communicate yet. After Jim got killed she started a Memorial thing at Events for his remembrance and still does it. Jim introduced me to many and then it all went from there. Been mainly in California that was where most of the action was during the .... late 1960's all the way till the 1990's. It all started up north in California at those Tracks there but it was a hard time for many too. We worked out of Truck Beds and made all kind of Trailers from what we could find and do and most of the work was just on the open asphalt all the time. Many just did not have proper equipment so most of every thing was done manually with just a few people. We changed Motors with .... 4x4 Beams and make shift Engine Lifts that we built and could take down later. Those used .... Coca Cola Trucks came in handy with all their compartments on them. then later we stripped down Trucks and made Flat Beds on them with winch's. The Money Guys well they always made out with the Sponsorship people too. But eventually with very hard work and Strong Efforts many got things going good. We lived out of ...... Brown Paper Bags for food and Laundry Mats when found. You slept in Cars or on the back Bed of a Pick Up Truck a lot. Many bought Small Surplus Military Tents just to have them around for some use. _________________________________
Now that ....Avatar you use......... I also really thought it was a .... Sunken Ship but could never enlarge the Picture to see it. It always looked like a Ship Bow then the top like a Deck.
________________________________ Now Diving I can do that all week long but one has to be careful also. Diving can cause extreme problems when it is not taken seriously. Here we are most of the time at ..... The 100 -110 Foot Depth Mark so that comes with being very carful with .... One's Diving Experiences. Here Many Tourist like to go Snorkeling all over then a lot of them go .......... Diving also but they get some problems too. I have been Diving from a very young age and a lot of it .... Free Diving and Spearing. When I got to the navy I just cruised through all there tests then they told me how come you are good at that, then ... The Instructor asked me where I was from and I told him then he says..... " Oh well all of you are Naturals ". I have always been a ....... Challenger Type of Guy but never to ... Press The Extreme of any of it. A always carry and little Bag on my Weight Belt .....Two Knives on Both Legs , A Inflatable Floater Ball , A Mini Bottle of Air , A length of Nylon Rope for a Tourniquet if needed. When diving of a boat I always have ... A Spare Single Tank half way down on the ... Anchor Line and also at the bottom a ... Mini Tanks also that is because we have a few Women that go with us and ...... Women Do Get Panicky a lot too. I love my Friends and don not want any thing to happen to them.
My Good Friend here he own's his own Diving Shop and he also requires very much safety with everyone here with us. Louis
