This vestal offered by one vendor at $129 looks identical to the Casio AL190WD-1AV which one vendor offers at $15. If there's $114 worth of difference, I can't see it. (Vestal image by vendor)

Those two are different enough that I doubt anyone copied the other. Look closely at the display; case shape; dial shape; number of pushers; bracelets; etc.
No idea why the price difference though?

Assume bracelet quality and even then it's all about margins.
Casios are amazing bargains.

Could also be about "perceived worth" - Vestal watches are fashion watches and are marketed towards non-WIS buyers that want one because they like the musicians Vestal supports Vestal Watches WikiThe wiki states that they design, develop and manufacture their own watches - but they don't. They source their manufacture out, so in essence people are paying them $100 extra for the "street" cred of owning a Vestal watch. To each his/her own.

- Vestal watches are fashion watches and are marketed towards non-WIS buyers And we all know how much "fashion appeal" goes with this crowd of prospective buyers. hurry-up-smiley-emoticon

I bought the Casio to test. Now realize that at least part of the price difference might be that the Casio's capacitor reserve (module 3274 full charge to full discharge) is only 14 days. The model came to me fully discharged (blank screen) and took a full day of sunlight exposure before it was operating normally.
