Picked it up about 6 months ago Don. When I first saw these back in early 2020 I immediately wanted one, but SEIKO UK advised me it was a JDM-only LE run so I gave up any hope, especially when Mrs Leffe’s trip to Hong Kong was cancelled by the pandemic. But persistence paid off and I found one from a UK seller at less than RRP and also avoided any nasty import duty.

The 6138-3002 from 1973 has landed here, i am declaring it my last aquisition. I'm happy to make anyone laugh But i have enough watches to last me the rest of this life, and they'll keep me plenty busy, between selling and maintaining them. At some point i'll post photos of sections of this collection, This is the icing on the cake for my box of "counters", as it's my only chrono that counts hours. I am thinking, at times, of places this watch will take me.

But i have enough watches to last me the rest of this life Out of interest and curiosity...that would be how many? oh, well, i thought i had fewer than i did. but i did a recent re-organization, brought all the ones out of mothballs that had been, and some of these were real beauties, they tend to be watches that i've fixed up, and can't sell at a price that i think of as fair (after paying for a service and a relume, and adding the original cost, how much should a beautiful vintage watch sell for? clearly, i don't have a clue.) so the number turns out to be 56, and that's enough for me

That one is one of my favorite dials, ever.... I actually enjoy "bonding" with the ones that hadn't seen much wrist time otherwise. I would reach for the grab and go headed out the door with no patience to set my automatics 😃. I'm happy to own this one. I was patient enough to wait for a good deal on yjp. It actually got held up last year due to Covid and showed up suddenly one day. I had actually forgotten about it.

I think that's a damn near perfect strap fpr the SKX011, too.
i wear different watches for different jobs and activities, i work on my computer, i pick and process fruit, i press fruit in to cider, i swim, and i teach classes, using chronographs so as o become very precise with time. Then there's the factor of certain watches enhancing certain moods. I have a whole tray of watches labeled "anti-depressants."
it's funny how watches can look like such a big thing to some people, sometimes i'm wearing a watch and i don't look at it for hours. i think that's pretty funny.
