Thank you. So I'm looking for 50's era, probably a Seiko Marvel with 9O####
There's not just the choice of a Marvel which finished production in 1959, you could look for a Cronos, a Crown, a Gryro Marvel or a Goldfeather, all available in 1959.
Here's my Cronos from 1959

September 1988 didn't have anything spectacular to offer as far as I know. Since I focus on autos and have a low budget most of my watches are older than me.

I bought this wreck of a 6105-8000 specifically because it was a birth year and month watch for me. WOW ... great job on a great watch !!! Thanks! I picked this up years ago now for what was then an astronomical sum for such a damaged watch. Dudes were pretty skeptical when I got it because it looked so rough, but the dial really wasn't that bad at all. The case was a special challenge. I took it to a local artisan jeweler who laser-welded the pits using surgical stainless steel, and then worked it back by hand. That took forever. The movement needed serious work and at the time I wasn't doing my own watches yet - Lew Brown went through the movement. A forum member was kind enough to donate the correct datewheel but I don't remember who which bugs me. Since then I've gone through the movement again, and have relumed the dial twice to get to the right color temperature. It's a solid runner now.
