I really hate that ugly Prospex X / PS logo.
I also strongly dislike the change to the Grand Seiko linup around the same time when they put the GS logo at 12 and left Seiko off of the dial.
Anywho watching the Playstation Fiesta Bowl football game on TV I saw at midfield the Sony Playstation logo.
And it reminded me of something else.
I found the logo coincidence interesting.

I get why they did both.
With GS, the snobs had a problem with SEIKO being on the dial, but Grand Seiko is totally cool apparently.
With prospex, It's supposed to show more delineation between the mid range and low range. The fact that red text submariners sell for a premium is proof you can never jam too much shit on a dial.

I've never been a fan of the PX on the dial, but now that I have a watch that has it, I don't really notice it. Would be better without, but not a huge issue.

I don’t know why this is such a big issue. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it, but you/we ain’t gonna get it changed just because some of us seem to hate it with a passion.

I actually turned on my SBGA109 SpringDrive LE and flipped it because it lost the magic mojo knowing it was 'dated' by the lack of GS at the top or shall I say a vestiage of 'the good ole days' when Seiko was proud of having SEIKO on a flagship caliber.
I now see the Snowflake the same way. Seiko suits put a stink on the SBGA011 because they introduced the SBGA211 that was a snub to all the owners who bought an iconic timepiece. Not only did the SBGA011 pave the way for the Grand Seiko separate brand, guys like me who bought a "lowly pre-GS GS"" funded it for them.

Yet people collect "21 Jewels" or "Water70M" extra lines of text and pay more - go figure !

Yet people collect "21 Jewels" or "Water70M" extra lines of text and pay more - go figure ! That actually means something worthwhile.

Many many years ago (1971) I owned a Ford Anglia 105E and the oil warning light would sometimes stay ON even though there was ample oil in the sump. So I took to sticking a piece of tape on the instrument clusters plastic cover hiding the light....problem solved.

Back in the day I had a 1980 VW Golf GTi, whose engine idle always increased by itself because the adjustment screw had become loose. Put some chewing gum on it...problem solved.

Even the India butchers won't touch the X for fear of lost sales
They skipped ahead to the new 5 logo
