In challenging situations, one might feel despair, but then again, there might be some room for using the organ that we have between our ears... and I think I have a simplistic approach to dealing with those fancy watch wannabe companies that start with the first three letters SWA group, the owners of OME.
I have been suffering of dealing with these morons in the repair of an Omega Constellation... now I want to pose the following to the watch geeks out there... could it be possible to make this watch a Hybrid? Something with the body of gold of my constellation but with the precision guts of a good quartz movement.
Please give me your thoughts.

No you can't mod it. Sell it. Get a quartz. Preferably an Atomic G. thunbsup.gif

I have had several atomic Gs, great watches but not what I really like... in fact I think those are the ones to have... but this piece of sh...ejem, sorry, gold has cost me... possibly it can be done... it all depends on the ingenuity... maybe someone can even make it an eco drive or hybrid it with the ecozilla.

I think kingrat's advice is sound. Sell it off lest the piece be a constant reminder of the frustration/incompetence you have already encountered. If you don't want more atomic G's, this Casio offers a more "dressy" alternative, IMHO. (Can be had in the $40 range if you look around long enough.)

I have had some like the one you show Norm... would look at the possibility of getting a higher en Oceanus.... maybe that would do the trick...BUT, they had the brand in the US for a time and now either it is not made or is Japan DM.

Yes, Casio puts out some great-looking watches in their Oceanus line. Here is one example shown by an ebay vendor:

Since OME made many quartz watches and I seem to think even a Constellation, it would not be a stretch to do a mod like that. It probably wouldn't be a drop in swap but with a little ingenuity, it could be done for a lot less than what you've already spent on postage laugh1.gif

I misread the title ... thought it said "When one must deal with Mormons" laugh1.gif The Omega SC may also employ Mormons. Whether one encounters a Mormon who is also a moron is a matter of "luck of the draw".

maybe they also employ witnesses then. That particular group might require a door rather than a phone. laugh1.gif
