Found this one on Craigslist a few days ago. The ad actually had the specs from a 6R15 diver, but the watch was described as an older 150m watch. When I clicked on the ad, the PIC WOULDN'T LOAD! I have never had this problem on my computer before. Finally had to look it up on my smartphone, and this is the pic I saw... His price was $120, and I didn't haggle with him. The watch was on Craigslist for the better part of a day before I was able to call even though I had seen the ad about two hours after it was posted. I was surprised it was still available. Was about 90 minutes away, and when I went to get it the fellow had forgotten I was coming! He opened the door and was wondering who the hell I was. He said he had purchased it when he was a military diver in Vietnam, and it had been serviced and resealed a couple times after that. It runs great, and has a nice patina. Best of all, and unknown to me at the time I went to get it, is that it is from August, 1974...my birth month! happy1

Nice find! The treasures are out there, you just have to have patience and a bit of luck. And live in a place with plenty of ex-military folks. Very true. Lots of military and ex-military around here with the Air Force and Army bases, plus the naval shipyard and naval air station nearby. Throw in all the Boeing guys traveling to Japan on business, and there are a lot of old Seikos floating around over here. I am doubly lucky... Thanks for the nice comments, guys!

Great find on the 6105, Cobra! I'm humbled yet proud to get a thumbs up from you on my rookie collecting abilities. You have given me advise on most of my acquisitions. I'm anxious to see a pic of the pepsi 6309.

I'm anxious to see a pic of the pepsi 6309. Well, it's in pieces right now, but man oh man.. Hands & dial are perfect. All internal surfaces were clean and bright. It had one of the best indicators for condition IMO - the brass C-clip that holds the daywheel in place was shiny like a new penny. No oxidation at all. The only issues are the typical ones - the grease inside the mainspring was all mixed up with ground-up plating and had migrated out around the mainspring arbor, plating itself all over the main plate and train bridge. This was sucking up a ton of your power. Even with that the watch was running steadily (if weakly). You got a hell of a deal on this watch.
