I find it a bit irritating, to see so many parallels. Can you please not continue with Lord Matics from the 70s?

No, sorry. I don't have many more of those Marvels. But I do have some other beautiful watches. like the Seikomatics. But also other brands, like Citizen, Alba, Ricoh. Not in the same quantities, but I do have some, and I will also show them to you. But it is not all Japanese, I got also some Swiss and Russian watches. My taste in watches is wide. But not very expensive watches. I just like the "normal" mans watch.
But hey, I show you a watch, which will be leaving my collection (when the buyer finally pays it)... A Lord Marvel 36000 in SS, with some nice patina.

For today a bit of a mix. Some classic Seiko watches, and some other Japanese watches. All worth watching for... Let's start with some Ricoh watches. Fairly unknown to many collectors, but really beautiful watches. A bit of a shame, that it is really hard to determine which movements these have. This makes replacing parts even more difficult. Luckily these watches are okay...
The Ricoh DynamicWide DX 30 juwels on the original bracelet.
The Ricoh Dynamic Auto 45 juwels is a watch which was made during the battle of the juwels. It looks really great, but when I got it, the date would not set. I had luck, no parts broken, only a misaligned spring was the cause. But a pain in the ass to get it right... But now it is functioning as it should.
The Ricoh AutoJust. A piece of cleaver engineering. The date and day mechanism is very cleaver and simple made. Also here was a misaligned spring the cause of the problem of the dateset.
That's it for the Ricoh. And on with the only Citizen I have. I've never seen one like this one before, at least not in this color. It is a Citizen Seven DeLuxe, with a cyan inner bezel.
And now back to Seiko. I got so many of them. These come all from the box "Don't know what to do with them..." This is a very nice Seiko Unique
And then there is this Seiko Super... Did I show you a Seiko Crown? I got another three of them... Another Seiko Crown...
And another...
And some asked for more Marvel... Not my best Lord Marvel, but still... This is a Lord Marvel 5740-0010
And another Lord Marvel 36000
That's it for today. Now I am about half way, if I don't count the non-runners...

vmaxnl, The Ricohs have been on my radar now an then and it's nice to see them! I have wanted a full day complication at 12 o'clock and the Ricoh DynamicWide DX 30 would be a wonderful watch to fit that desire. The original beads of rice bracelet makes it a spectacular combination. Thanks for sharing!

Yesterday I siad, I have only 1 Citizen. That's not entirely true. I got only one watch, but I also got a Citizen Travel clock. I picked it up at Buyee, bidding 1 yen. And I won... Shipping costs and fees were considerably more...
So here it is...
It's not the only travel clock I have, As Seiko collector I couldn't resist this one. Complete with original box, warranty certificate, user manual and of course the clock in almost mint condition.
That's it for today...

Let's continue. Now with non-Japanese watches. My taste has a wide range...
Let's start with an Omega Electronic F-300Mhz
An Accutron is absolutely necessary in my collection. This is a Bulova Accutron from 1972
A few odd ones, that actually don't fit right in my collection, but are great to have: A Leijona Caravelle automatic in a compressor case.
A Swiss Emperor Hi-Beat (Hi-Beat is only 21.6K...)
This Roamer Anfibio was found in the trash. Such a shame for such a fine watch! I could understand it, when the watch was broken, but it runs fine. Now it is in my collection to stay...
This Sicura Topaz 200 has no trademark on the dial, but on the backplate. But is still very nice!
Then a few Russian watches. I don't wear them for obvious reasons, but they are still nice watches...
This is a Sekonda Alarm in 80's style. Sekonda as the export trade of Poljot.
This I find one of my coolest watches. It's the patina of the dial, that makes this watch really cool. A military green leather strap makes the look complete.
And this is one of my oldest watches. It's a Pobeda from 1953. It runs like new and looks really great!
And then a few funny watches, which I like because of the shape, the dial and colors. They came in black, blue and red. But I got an orange and a purple one, which is nothing more than patina... This one was supposed to be red, but came out orange.
And this purple one is supposed to be blue. It is in less shape, but you can still see a bit of blue on the side of the dial.
And this is the original color:
And then there is this Poljot Okeah Chronograph. It is not geniun, but looks still very good.
To my oldest wristwatch: A Gruen Logan, build in 1941 ( I thought 1942, but the serial says 1941).
Another "trash" watch. A Certina Bristol 230.
And the last one for today: A Tidéna Super-automatic with a ETA 2428 movement.

It's been a while since I posted here, so let us continue with some handsome watches. These are all Seiko. Of some you may never heard about or even seen it before, some are widely known.
This watch I would never had bought, if it wasn't for an auction, where all the money was send to the cancer research. Having lost some family to cancer, I could not pass this one. Now it remembers me to those dear persons, and I still have a good feeling by contributing to the research. A big thank you for the person who donated it, and the person that arranged the auction.
The watch itself is a nice one, a blue Seiko 7006-8060, build in 1973 Then a Seiko Skyliner, with a nice seahorse on it's back. This 6222-8000 was build in 1966 Another Seiko Skyliner, but I find this dial so beautiful and special, I had to have it. This one is build 1962 and is known as the Skyliner 14092, but has also the modern code: 6220-9960 Now 2 very unknown Seiko Watches. The Seiko Fairway. It was the first attempt of Seiko to make a waterproof one-piece case. In the late 50's a depth rating of 30m wasn't that bad... These were build in 1960 Then a more sporty Seiko 6119-8020, build in 1967 This is a Seiko Sports 70, the 6119-6020, build in 1968 Another Seiko Sport, this is a 6319-6000, build in 1967 Then I got a Sportsmatic 6619-8090, with a very nice black sunburst dial. Build in 1966 And then there is the Sportsmatic DeLuxe, the 7619-7000. Build in 1966 And a collection is not complete without a Seiko Speedtimer Chronograph. This is the 6139-7020, build in 1971 The final watch for today: The Seiko Sea Lion M77, aka Seiko Seikomatic-R 8305-1000. build in 1965

Some very special Seikos for sure vmaxnl, thank you for sharing them with us! The donated 7006-8060 is a treasure. I love watches that give a good feeling like this, and no amount of work we put into them can make it happen. The story is so valuable, yet so easily lost. I hope you write it down and keep it with the watch.
I really like the bracelet on the Sea Lion, it makes a very good looking watch!

It was the cheapest bracelet I could find on Aliexpress... But I agree, looks very good! Looks a bit like the Seiko version, but this is a massive bracelet, not folded.

It can be tricky balancing bracelet to case, and I have had a struggle with a bracelet I thought I would really like on a watch overpowering the case design. In the end I had to remove it. That bracelet doesn't appear to do this , but maybe we'll see it on your wrist soon and get a bigger picture

That can be arranged... The Seikomatic-R Sea Lion M77 8305-1000. This watch has some nice hidden features. You can't see it, and in this watch the lume has faded, but there is lume in the sides of the indices and on the underside of the hands. See on the video below...

A very deep hole. I have still watches to show, the best I am saving for last (and also when my GS-Seikomatic finally arrives...)
But for the Sea Lion, I am thinking to get it relumed, to get the awesome lume-effect! And it's true in the video, these are reasonably cheap to come by. I got 2 of these, the 8305-1000 and the 8305-1010. There is no difference, than the lack of signing on the caseback of being a Sea Lion. You should be possible to buy this watch for under $100. I did...
I like the bullet shaped design on the dial.
And the odd thing about this watch is, that most Seiko watches of this era all have 19mm lugs, but this one got 20mm lugs, making it pretty easy to get a bracelet of nice leather strap for it.

I think re-luming is a must for this one! Can you do it yourself? I have done a little bit of lume work but my skills are poor when it comes to painting and polishing. I'm much better at mechanical tasks like movement service. I also feel like it is hard to come by good modern lum, I have paid for very expensive Begeon brand lume and I'm disappointed in it.

I paid €10 for a bag of Luminova in Japan... It's just powder, that you add to some clear coat... Just made my first steps in reluming on old watches. Still not there yet... But for €10 I can't go wrong...
