Test driving this new arrival today. 7625-8233 Sportsmatic. Horribly messed about with chapter ring. Not sure if it's original to the watch but it sure as hell don't line up properly ! Might end up as a(nother) beater.

Pulled this one out of the watch box this morning. It probably won't last past tomorrow night when I get home from work as I'm expecting a "little sumpin' sumpin'" from Ft. Collins.

thanks! It's a worn but honest example. Caseback is one of the most worn I've seen - a horseshoe from October '72. Someone wore this watch a LOT - so much so that it was serviced at one point and the center bushing in the train bridge was replaced with a jewel. This thing is an 18j!

Thanks, that means a lot to me as I value your taste. The case was REALLY rough with tons of little dings. I was able to diminish most of them and redo the circular lines on the case. Then I filled in the missing enamel with black paint and replaced the crystal. I was pleasantly surprised by the movement (clean and accurate). It makes for a nice daily watch. I wish I knew that you were looking for one. I spotted one for sale not too long ago (where?) , but passed on it as I had this one.

I have a similar one coming with a missing bezel, and if I can't do anything with them I'll let you know.
