I brought this Pro-Trek when my oldest went off to Basic Training. He had it on his wrist though, Boot-Camp, Advanced Infantry Training, Dive school, Jump school, Air Tech school. First of his three tours. No dramas at all. When he brought his Tag he gave it to his younger brother when he joined up. He then wore it though Boot-Camp, Drive school, Advanced Drive school, Tank school, Dive school and he had it on during his tour under a UN Berret, no problems at all either. His bother then got his Tissot so It was given to my Godson when he went off to Afghanistan. Its now had a new bezel/case fitted & is still kicking & ready to go! Make no mistake, this is a great watch thunbsup.gif

I would guess a rugged digital watch that displayed current time as well as home time.

I dont know what the current favored watch is of todays troops but when I was in Vietnam in 68-69 this was a favorite............(I wore this actual watch there and still own it....... keeps excellent time for a 48 year old watch). Most guys like myself initially wore what ever they brought from home but quickly ended up sending them back home and bought one of these or one like them. A lot of guys quickly too purchased these "Bund" like straps the Vietnamese made and sold for about $2.00 They were made from Water Buffalo hides.

I had a customer sell me his from his service days in Vietnam. I love it.
