Maybe it's because I've got a couple nice examples, or perhaps it's due to their current market price...but my desire to acquire more is non-existent. I can't tell you the last time I followed a 6105 auction, or attempted to seek one out. I'm not saying I wouldn't jump on a fantastic deal, but I can't say I'd pay even close to current market price for one these days. All that being said, I'd never consider selling mine...they are definitely not going anywhere.

I will continue to look for one since I have none. I will be very picky about what I buy and try to get one in excellent condition.

If you stopped buying everything else that tickled your fancy, you'd have one by now. laugh1.gif

They're simply too expensive to buy, but don't bring enough to sell. My recent bargain was just that - a bargain. Not a repeatable experience for most people. But anyway, it seems to me that the asking price for a -811x diver is pinned between $500 to about $800 at the absolute top (not counting an NOS example or a proof / proof), but people won't touch one that's anywhere north of $600. I mean, Tim's 6105 was fantastic, really beautiful, and it didn't move at $750. I'm still waiting for them to really jump in price but it keeps not happening.

They definitely are in a unique place for most collectors, myself included. This one that I had for sale, could have moved...but I changed my mind. I actually had an offer of $900, from someone who wanted it badly. They factored in the fact that it visited Jack @ IWW, that was important to them I guess. I just couldn't bring myself to let it go, and that was when I just posted it for trade for a bit.

I won't pay what they're fetching now , but I'll always keep my eyes peeled for a nice one.

I've received my 7th 6105 (6 x -811x, 1 x -8009) yesterday, so I guess I should stay away from any auction site for a while now... a176
