Picked up an A708-5000 World Time - the last (AFAIK) of the Seiko World Time LCDs of that era. I've wanted one for some time because of the model's use in the John Cleese movie "Clockwise". Technically he wore an A718 (added alarm feature) but they share essentially the same module and definitely the case & bracelet, both unique to this family. They almost never come up, very rarely seen. Interesting domed crystal by the way. All functions work great. Quick and dirty shot with another movie watch. I'll take more pictures tomorrow.

Congrats Spencer! It's always nice to finally get one that you've been on the prowl for!
Enjoy it and wear it in good health!

Nice find! Looking forward to seeing more photos, especially some that show off the domed crystal. I actually didn't even know that this watch existed. I've seen the "pan am" world timers, and the ones with the LCD map, but not this.

If people also wanted to secure/collect computers shown in movies, there'd be a lot of Apple laptops sold. JMHO.

Cool watch....I like it. I have one of the newer Seiko Solar Atomic digitals....I don't wear it very often....it's just one that I love owning for some reason.
