I started with this gem from Ramon... The dial is almost perfect with nicely patina'd markers and no scratches on the surface... The movement had some surprises... Lots of congealed oil... And upon disassembly, a couple of broken parts... One of the pivots on the palette fork was worn to a nub so it was replaced along with the center wheel from a 7009 donor. Everything cleaned up nicely; even the rotor is now clean enough to be serviceable :-) After assembly and regulation, the watch is running about 1 sec fast over the last 24 hours. No, I left the hands until I get the silver plating solution. The second kit I ordered also disappeared and the vendor has refunded my money and requested I don't try buying from them again :-( So, I'm still looking for a silver plating kit...

You're going to replate the hands with silver!?
Wow, really? That's awesome, can't wait to hear how that works.
