Yeah, that's the winner. That's a great watch. Not a fan of the minute hand though. Ah, but you see, the orange of the minute hand matches the crown and the sweep tip... Odd-numbered symmetry. I have a crazy problem with odd numbers, especially threes. So this speaks to me.

LOL...you guys commenting on the crown and minute hand while ignoring the strawberry of a bezel pip reminds me of cheech and chong meeting Strawberry. "Hey man, just don't look at his strawberry."

I'm color deficient so those things don't rock me . . . give me primary colors . . . black and white also work well for me!

No . . . seriously . . . I have trouble seeing certain colors . . . have since I was a kid. I didn't even notice the colored tip of the second hand until you mentioned it. I'm also a "symmetry" guy so the two different colored hands didn't work for me.

The new ones look nice but I prefer the original dial. The original design has a strong design influence from the 6105 divers, specifically on the indices (IMHO). I'd definitely wear that orange or the blue one but I still love my original black dial version.
I actually prefer this dial since the plane is level with no step down near the center.

I have trouble finding and seeing 2 1/2" x 6" pieces of green paper with numbers larger than 1 on them laughing1.gif

That's why they make chocolate AND vanilla.

Aw come on...it's the pip that makes the Stargate what it is! I've loved it since we first saw it chinathumbsup.gif If I have any gripes, they would be the too long lugs and the flat case which simply doesn't fit a smaller wrist well. Put that orange dial, hands and bezel on an SKX -0020 case and we would have a stampede of buyers yes1.gif

But have you tried to get a swirl cone anywhere eint he last 15 years?
Even Dairy Queen hasn't had chocolate ice cream for 12 years.
They just squirt chocolate syrup into your vanilla ice cream Blizzard to simulate chocolate ice cream.
Bastards.
Hardees used to have the best soft serve twist cones.
Then they tried to go upscale and had Baskin Robbins style tubs of 8 flavors.
Then they got run out of town.
Then I had to stop at Hardees in Peru IL across from the fertilizer silos and watch 2 stoners fire up a joint in the parking lot and pass it back and forth in plain view of the drive through only to watch them walk into the store 3 minutes later and go behind the counter to work the fryer.
I guess things are different down there in the flatlands.

That's one of my beefs with the Stargate too....if you wear it on a strap there's a large gap between the end of the strap and the case.
