Ok dudes, my Omega Constellation 18 KT cal. 1001 is leaving tomorrow on a third voyage back east to the Omega repair shop. This time the gripe is and was since I got it back about one month ago the fact that it was gaining about 4 minutes a day. Well, let´s see what we encounter on this voyage; let´s see if the Omega guys can live up to the name and image they try to exude... let's see if it even goes to Switzerland for a redo.
If it comes back in good shape I will post all the applause I have in store for them, if the worksmanship is worse than what one could expect out of a cheapo body repair shop... forget Omega, forget Swiss brands.

With all due respect, I think if your Omega were a person, it would be on a "first-name" basis with some of the USPS postal carriers. Hope this time is the "charm" for it and you. yes1.gif

I had it overhauled in July...sent it back in September, now it goes back... of course they pay the FEDEX but I have to pay for the special box.
I do hope it is wearable when it returns... and of course it is not a beater but anyhow for what the original repair cost me, it should at least work well.

Yep. That ad is hilarious. Clearly not marketed to me and probably everyone else here.

....and then possibly to the land of Hans and Fritz. If that happens, perhaps they'll return Connie with some complimentary Swiss chocolates, but don't hold your breath in expectation of that one. rednono.giff

I've got a few of my Dad's Seikos and I know that they will be in good running shape when they put me in the ground!

(Swiss-watch advertising definitely can be humorous unless you are a Swiss-watch manufacturer/seller.)

Rc'd notice today that Connie arrived and will be sent to the land of Toblerone.
I told the person to get the watch working at +2 sec per day and that is all it needs... and that maybe if I get in exchange a new SS Connie (or other) Coaxial, they can keep the Gold... Let's see what they say and what they do.

Connie's diagnosis today.... it was magnetized... c'mon...really, duh!!!
Well that is what I was told and that they passed the watch through a lot of hokus pokus machines, including the Ouija board and they might have done away with the magnetism... but the person asked... have uou used a cell phone while wearing the watch... now it so happens that I cannot use a cell phone... wait a minute... what about a computer... hey, what if I take a nap while I am wearing it? Or eat tomato soup? Or evan look at the time?...)(&&%#"$$/&, they merit the academy award... and can take the place of Alfred R. Neumann, yes, the kid from Mad Magazine.
Jeez... If I would have not heard it, I would not have believed it. Looks like it will go to the outskirts of the Matterhorn.
