Two parcels arrived last night, one impossibly fast, the other after weeks and weeks of transport. Today I've got the Elektronika B6.02 LCD with a 30 year commemoration inscribed on the back. This was the first LCD watch model out of the Soviet Union. This one is dated 16 November 1978 so close to first issue. The B6.02 nervously looks over the newly received Chaika 3050 which a heart transplant was just performed. The new heart was poorly packaged, so upon arrival was broken. Thankfully this time in a place I could do something about it. It's now ticking away and will go to final assembly some time soon! Can you read this? Google Translate is struggling mightily with it... If you can translate please let us all know!

It has literally been too long since I last strapped on a beautiful 6309. Definitely before my March slim case bender. Feels amazing especially on the SNJ025 New Arnie (OG) strap.

Thanks to the generosity of Mr World Time himself, dapellegrini, this watch now has a fully functional display (because Mr Dipshit himself, me, cracked the perfect original one), and also it has the correct cities bezel because Dan pointed out to me that for a JDM model like this, it must have long-form names unlike what it came to me with. I harvested the correct one from another project watch. M158-5000 May 78.

I had a box arrive this afternoon too! The first watch out was this Tag Heuer 2000 (974.006) from the late 80s. I rather like it! For the Ricoh fans out there, the Lightning Bolt arrived, the other Ricoh version is still waiting to be shipped. It's not running currently so will investigate but here are a couple of better pictures of it

I still have an old BOLT hat- Probably from late 70's early 80s..? Misaligned Bolt patch and all, probably why I didn't wear it much. Seiko must have hired the old Lightning Bolt QC team...?
