Houston area Rolex lovers may soon have their fill. Today's local paper had an article of planned expansion for a local shopping mall, and it included a (stated) first-ever Rolex store for Texas.

The planned store appears to be exclusively Rolex vs Rolex AD's that may handle other brands. Here is the partial article; see what you think.
(The article says the "big spenders" are being targeted. That certainly leaves me out. )

I had not noticed but in the ADs I have been to, they usually have other brands too but Rolex is alone in display cases inside and the windows. Even if you look up a certain AD that you know is a Rolex AD, they usually will appear on Internet as offering all their lines but no Rolex... If you look at them from the Rolex site, they appear as only Rolex. It is as if the other brands will be cuties contagious.

Maybe this is going to be a Rolex boutique store?
There's an Omega boutique store here near me. Its hilarious. They have each model on a pedestal under glass with about 6 sales men in 3 piece suits....and no customers. The place looks like a museum and is completely intimidating for most people. You know there's no discount in there and most people are wondering WTF is with this store when they just were looking at an Omega PO at Costco.

It is as if one goes to a CAdillac dealer...sticker prices are intimidating f them....aint gonna buy. Bet the same happens to the ones that go in there tolook. Just thinkof the fixed expenses. The Omega dudes hv to sell expensive to avoid the red ink if at all. THEY Should sell their fare on Amazon.
