Have any of you guys assessed watches in Thailand?
A friend is visiting home in Thailand near the new year and I was thinking there may be lightweight watch related things she could potentially bring back.
I've been warned there's a lot to avoid from buying online, but how about just parts for modding? Straps?

I imagine if you could find the source where many of these online franken watches come from it would be sweet. Same thing with the Philippines I'd love to visit and come back with a suitcase of unmolested project watches.

I didn't have much luck when I was there, but I didnt have much time either. I'm currently living in Vietnam and my brother-in-law is living just outside Bangkok, so I'm sure I'll be going back. I think we all have those dreams about suitcases full of unmolested projects.

Theres a lot of good diving in the Philippines. Fly out, dive like I have Gills, then fill a rucksack with 6105's/6309's then fly home. Ahhh, what a holiday that would be! yes1.gif.

Theres a lot of good diving in the Philippines. Fly out, dive like I have Gills, then fill a rucksack with 6105's/6309's then fly home. Ahhh, what a holiday that would be! yes1.gif. You may have noticed that Oyl is the only one now with daily offerings. The others like Jose and a couple of others product has diminished significantly lately. You will be hard put to find more than one 6309-729x up on Ramon's site in any given week and he used to have several each day. Oly has probably figured out the other guys sources and is snapping them up :-( Too bad because all he does id butcher helpless watches with fake dials  |
