Crap I set my watch to the wrong day. Anyway, new to me, 6309-7049, damned near new. Did a full service on it yesterday (and new seals, new crystal). Hadn't ever been opened before, in over thirty years. Amazing what you find. Some of the pivots still had lubrication. Most were dry. Mainspring barrel was coated top and bottom with that lovely black gruk, and was dry as Death Valley inside. Despite this it was running in the 220s. After servicing it is cruising in the 240-250-260 range, with winding spikes up to (and every now and then over) 300.

Well I'm not going to be Yachting today. I just like being color coordinated.

I've got exactly two 6309-704x's, and knowing me that number will drop to one sooner or later. No duplicates.
