Hi I remembered on the old network54 site of the SCWF there was a step by step pictorial guide to replacing the gasket in a 6105-8110 crown, I just looked it up again and all the pictures are now missing so it's pretty useless, is the info now on seikoholics then? I've had a quick look and can't find it, can someone link it for me please as I'd like to give it a go, seikola

Interesting read here. Apparently Jack can replace that gasket with pretty good success rate. Something I did not know about was the modification being done by Randall Dr. Seiko. A triple seal crown. LINKI'm sure with some digging around the guide could be found.

Hi Cheers for the info and link, the guide I'd really like to have again is linked on that thread but no longer works and even if it did the photos are no longer showing. I remember that it involved prying up the steel washer in the middle to make it slightly cone shaped, this released the washer by making the outer dimension smaller so it released from it's crimp, once removed the gasket and the little steel ring were easily removed, to replace the original steel washer that locks it all in place you would place it back on the crown then use a staking set to flatten the washer again so the lip of the crown gripped it again. seikola
