Well, they started out in Switzerland in 1886. But it gets quite convoluted after that. Some have an ETA 28242 movement I think. Jacques Cousteau had one which is cool. Dirk Pitt wears one in all his Adventures which I am sad to say I love the idea of. But hey, plenty love the James Bond link to the Milsub/Seamaster so hay-ho on that one. Interestingly, Clive Cussler who writes the Dirk Pitt novels is an accomplished diver & has discovered literally 100's wrecks of historic interest. There is a limited edition blue face NUMA Doxa...I would pick it up in a heartbeat. Rob. Oh be still my Beating heart!!! Just Google it. Rob, that is a seriously cool & also interesting watch. I like everything about Doxa except the price tag. Me to coz I've just started a "Get Dad his Doxa" fund! Sorting what watches I can sell without to many tears and will be posting on various forums & e-pray very soon. It'll come my friend. I have one of those funds going too , but the watch at the end of the fund keeps changing.
