I bought a repro Arnie shroud from eBay seller "Safari*inc". He stated multiple times in his auction that his shrouds were "perfect". Don't be mislead. I got mine, and it was poorly made. All kinds of voids and bubbles, especially underneath. It looks like it was cut off of a larger casting piece. Some of the bubbles in the mix hit the outside surface of the shroud, creating holes that are visible when the shroud is installed. Edges and interior spaces are badly finished, missing critical pieces. The top and bottom straight edges that are supposed to catch under the case are missing. One was sort of there but then cracked off when I went to install it. The shroud does fit, and does screw into place, but it is nowhere near "perfect" and for $55 is a total rip-off. The aluminum ones from another vendor are the same price and they're way nicer, even if they aren't the original plastic.
I left neutral feedback (not negative) and the seller contacted me. He was pissed off I'd left a neutral, rather than concerned that he'd shipped a substandard product. He said he'd ship another shroud right away, stating the one I got must have slipped through their QC process. He also said that bubbles underneath were "normal" and "are OK". I don't think they're OK. He then changed his tune and said he had to look at my shroud first before sending a replacement. So he failed to provide a "perfect" product, and then failed to live up to his promise to ship a replacement immediately. I won't be doing business with him again.
Someone needs to do a better job making these, especially in this age of 3D printing.
Take my warning.

I would simply have left negative feedback for the item not being as described. 'Perfect' means an exact duplicate of the original with all the pieces and no bubbles. Guys like this need to be drummed out of the business!

Send him an email: yobokies@yahoo.com.hk I'd be interested in knowing also. Never mind...I just sent him an email....I'll let you know what he says. Might take a little bit as it's only 6 a.m. right now in Hong Kong.
