I really find it quite odd sometimes how Seiko puts 20mm lugs on watches such as the Spork. With the exception of the original bracelet, everything else to me looks a little too "thin." It definitely looks good on a NATO or leather strap but I think it would look even better on something thicker, something more proportionate to its size and heft. So one day I just went for it and tried notching a 24inch leather strap I got on the net. Using a regular cutter and my son's ruler, here's the result: I know I should've been more careful with the cut so it doesn't go over but hey, unless you're an ant or use a magnifying lens I don't think you'd see it. Btw, I specifically got a strap with narrow stitching near the edge making it look even wider when on the watch. It also comes with a hefty Panerai style deployant which matches the heft of the Spork. Now I have a "proper" leather strap/buckle combo for it. Well I hope you guys like it. I sure do! yes1.gif

Ah the Di-Modell Chronissimo... always looks good on a Spork! I was seriously considering that but thought I'd do something more adventurous (and cheaper lol).

I learned the "trick" of the Spork/Di Modell Chronissimo combination quite a while back....works like a charm:
