I was under the impression that the 66B handwind movements were 60s. I just worked on one that I'd dated at '65 based on the caseback. However, I just picked one up and it's got this caseback: Are we talking 1963? 1973? That looks like a '73-style caseback but were they making the 66B handwinds that late?

Were this 1963 it would read "water proof". Thus 1973.

Were this 1963 it would read "water proof". Thus 1973. You are so much smarter than me - or less tired. How did I miss that? So why in the world was Seiko making 66B watches so late? I always thought of it as a 60s movement.
