Apparently this just happened, has anyone ever seem this sort of damage before? Could it just happen, without some human help?

I suppose if it were dropped, the second hand came off, got jammed between the hands, and the watch was still running............

Hand warped and detached because it was exposed to very high heat??

Would the movement be strong enough to bend the hand? hight heat would damage other parts you'd think :-S

I would expect heat to melt the chapter ring. I've seen that before.

Interesting to say the least. I've seen a lot of second hands that have fallen off but never twisted like that.

Tim's 007 (or is it a 009) came in like that almost, except the sweep was still attached, just warped as hell.

Would the movement be strong enough to bend the hand? hight heat would damage other parts you'd think :-S Leverage is an amazing thing. What were the circumstances in which you found this? Like did you put it down in the evening, and then come back in the morning and find it like this?

Tim's 007 (or is it a 009) came in like that almost, except the sweep was still attached, just warped as hell. Yeah, it was pretty bent up, gotta wonder what happens to them sometimes. Chris did a pretty good job of straightening it out, so I just used it.

Did the seller mention heat or something? How much is the current price?
