Here is another that has been on my hit list for quite some time now.....It took me a while to fall in love with the handset, but I definitely did. I have not made the purchase yet, but hopefully some day.

I had this one Tim, such a great iconic watch with a unique look. The SDR U1 is the nicest U1 imho (black bezel). Prices are going up fast.

Would someone please edumacate me on Sinn? Who's movements do they use? Apparently the U1 has the Sellita SW-200.

Would someone please edumacate me on Sinn? Who's movements do they use? Sinn uses a mix of decorated off-the-shelf movements (mostly the ETA 2824-2 and the Valjoux 775x), with more movement customization at the higher end with their SZ0x. With ETA stopping shipments of ebauches/kits and slowing shipments of movements, Sinn like many are moving to Sellita for ETA clones. Sellita has subcontracted manufacturing for ETA for years, and Sellitas these are just as reliable and accurate as ETAs. Sinn had used top grade ETAs, and claim to use only chronometer grate SW-200's, so this may even be a quality jump. In general, Sinn uses workhorse movements with practical complications, with most of their innovation being in designing cases capable of handling extreme conditions, like the fluid-filled UX diver which is reflection-free underwater and certified to 5000m.

Thank you very much. Now, why is ETA limiting their supply?
