As a kid I learned leather work. I have bought some of those bags they sell at regular hobby stores and my Exakto knives and other stuff, having in plan the production of Nato style straps. The thing that is keeping me from doing that is the lack of the proper hardware. I would like to know where to find it. If it is not possible to acquire and it is for you, I make a strap for you and you send me hardware.
Let´s see if we can make the straps.

HERE is some, but it's expensive. HERE is another vendor, not sure if he has what you're looking for though.

Some stuff is hard to get in the area of tools, to work, I use to hang around a Elder Japanese man and he did ... ( Car and House, and other work ) too. He taught me the trade and it got easy too, then I did my own like with Cars, Bikes, and Drag Boats, Race cars , etc. When you have quality tools it is really comfortable too. Time goes faster and good work comes about. I use to make a lot of my tools also, it was not that hard to do. When something is to learn, I go for it and learn it too. They do get expensive also like sewing machines, and some other specialize things.
