Recieved this the other week. It was a bit of a "suck and see" purchase, but it is pretty. Also this watch was the reason I found this forum, when I was searching for information on thi model. Has an after market EastTech band on it, which i believe was made by S.Kleins business partner. EDIT: I just noticed that all the shots have the chrono hands non-centred .. these do centre properly, but I left the chrono running last time I took the watch off and the hands must have stopped where you see them. I believe the chrono hands are incorrect on that one, should be a two piece? Was it described as all original by the seller?

Those hands should center when the chrono is reset. What you are seeing most likely is that as the watch runs down, the little extra power needed to kick the subdial hand ahead another minute will stop the movement just before it reaches the zero.

All the functions work correctly, and I liked the "eye appeal" of this one, and because I like the look of it I purchased it on sight. I have read somewhere that 2 piece hands were on these for a few years. I don't know enough to say if this watch should have them or not, but I've checked the hands under my 10 x loop and they are even coloured, look factory finish and one piece.

Yer, gave the watch a bit of a shake and got enough in her to get the hands centred. Thanks mikeyt
I just mentioned it in that images post because some may thing the hands don't centre properly .. when all the time it was the dumb owner not letting the old girl do her stuff properly.

Wow - I haven't checked in here for a while as I have been loosing interest in my stupidly huge collection of vintage Seiko's! The last two watches posted here though are proper beauties!!! Well done chaps.

Band of Brothers Does the second hand always in red color? Do you think my cousin has an after market second hand on his?

Does the second hand always in red color? Do you think my cousin has an after market second hand on his? The dial on that watch is not original to the case. It looks like the dial from a "Helmet" 6139-71XX. The second and sub-dial hands look like they may be 6139-6XXX hands that were repainted.

My two Seiko 6139 600x. On the left (blu dial) 6139 6002. On the right (yellow dial) 6139 6000 (first version, notch case), from 1969. For me the real "Pogue" is only the reference 6139 6005

Are there R and T silver dials?
If so, does the tick at the top of the 1 on the subdial rules apply - (please refresh my memory on which is which)?
Thank you.

Yes and yes.
T dial has the stick "l", R is with the full "1".
