I figured I would share 2 of my favorite hobbies in my first post here. Octopus hunting and collecting Seiko divers.

Thank you all, I really enjoy both hobbies. I recently started tako diving and I really do love it. Don't be afraid to use your divers all!

If I was fishing deep I'd use a line with weighted hooks and have a white rag attached to it. The white rag would lure them out of the holes and once they were away from the rocks you let them hook themselves. And another was dropping clay pots on a line and leaving them on the seabed a couple of days, octopus like to make homes in them, then you pull the pots up with them in there.

Sweet, Good to see a fellow dive watch diver! I tend to forage for Scallops & Lobster here in the UK. But have nabbed a couple when diving in Malta I think this is Kingrat catching a 'puss laughing1.gif

I go to a place on the windward side for tako diving. I don't pressure test my watches but I do send most of my stuff to Randall Benson and he does it. I don't go deep enough to REALLY use the 300m for my watch. ha ha!
Dad-The-Diver : great pic, that is super funny....I worry that one day that will be me with a 4-5 pounder....ugh...DANGER! Ah, Scallops and lobster sounds like a bang up meal! I would love to do that one day.
KingRat : Cool deals man...must have been fun when you used to do it. What waters were you in???
