Hey Josh, here ya go. Browsing through our local outlet and spied this. $6.50 Canuckistan Pesos for 40 oz.. That's like $4.69 U.S. I'm not sure if it's a glass or plastic bottle. Plastic is nice in case you drop it or fall down or if you have to carry a bunch its not so heavy, and if you fall down, (I mentioned that part didn't I?) it won't break and cut you when you are rolling around trying to figure out where you are and plastic is better when you take them back for dposit you can really fill up your bag, oh no wait there is no deposit on plastic, oh well you know what I mean.

Love those "her ladyship, wife is out posts" and out comes a nice bevvy and fry up! Me, haven't done the fry up yet but last nights perogies (damn I hate spell check) with fried onions and kielbasa are looking pretty good. Since my Craigslist deal went for a dump I had a little left over today and treated my frustration with one of these. From one of our local breweries (65 miles away) whose Imperial stout is quite a bargain. 30Th anniversary ale but I guess you can see that. I have to tell you this is very nice. Now I've heard of blende Scotch but not often (or ever beer, in this case ale). I know some are more tech in orientation so I will give you the sort & dirty off the bottle. Small batch blend specially crafted. A malt forward ale brewed with elderberries and aged for 3 months in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Have to admire those Yanks, they can make a dollar out of anything! Sorry boys, just kidding! (it's true). An English style ale with oak and smokey vanilla notes that compliment the rich malt flavours of dark fruit and raisins. They then blended this barrel aged beer ( come on they're losing me here, I thought beer was lager, this is ale) with a dry hopped imperial golden ale infused with heather tips ( just the tips, not the Heather I met) yadayada yada. Forget the fluff, This reminds me of the Chimay I sampled a while back. Very nice, unfortunately not available in a global market, but neither was Heather. As a side note for those interested www.wellingtonbrewery.ca/

Sounds delicious, despite the wank on the label.

Looks glass to me. First it was plastic Mickeys 32ozer's to hit here and then they became plastic Mickeys 40ozer's and a week later the OE 40's were also plastic. I would pay $20 for a freshly brewed St Ides 40. I blame the gubment and all of the local anti hobo laws banning alcohol content and container size for the downfall Yet everyday when I get off of the freeway some hobo is still the panhandling on the closed off ramp that I now have to drive 1 mile further on the frontage road to get to to get home There are enough laws on the books already that just need to be enforced to solve the problem rather then keep creating more to phuk over the law abiding tax paying citizens the new law phuks over even further while the shitheads keep prospering.

You know all this does is wind you up (not to mention me) the only way around is to let it be. Again, that is not our nature , so do you have any clown possey appropriate tunes available ? This post is dedicated to my the lil homie Crackhead Charlie that lived across the street from my one of the founding 4 OG 3 J's AKA ( insert your street gang name here) Google that shit. No results found? That is how true organized crime rolls You didn't do time with me you don't do crime with me. I almost posted the name here but that is how the FED's trap your ass nowadays thanks to the lamestream social media sites. Wrist Sushi used to be off the grid but now that we are "The Forum" and and that other place is now "TOF" you better dot your I's and cross your T's Anywho I have known Crackhead Charlie since 1993 and he made a cameo appearance in the 3 J's high school media class final movie. There are 2 known VHS copies in existence. I have one and Sergeant Jarvis has the other and it seems when 2 of the 3 OG J's meet up with Sergeant Jarvis the cops are always called. Personally on more than 5 occasions. Screaming "phuk you Rookie" to the female pig comes to mind along wi6th the classic New Years Eve restaurant "I ain't paying for this liver sandwich I got a military ID" incident To cut the unfortunate "Behind the music" story short Crackhead Charlie is now incarcerated in a Montana prison for Meth charges after he was told to move to MT with his mother and brother in hopes that the middle of nowhere would cure his 25 years of addiction. I feel for his daughter and booty call babies mama who should have known better after the years of womanizing. As an aside the Military will phuk up your personal life. SGT Jarvis is currently running and gunning in some phuked up 3rd world desert (used to be a jungle) after a divorce and with a teenage daughter. Throw it up (do you know how hard it is to find an OG throw it up hand sign animated GIF ) and see you when you come back stateside SGT Jarvis. Amazing how marriage will wreck a whole crew 2 homies out of circulation but hope to regroup on the Echo Side. :winner:

Is that one of the hopped up versions that seem popular lately. I tried several last summer, a few of which were a little overdone with hops for my liking . (typed while sipping green tea )

(typed while sipping green tea ) I am not a fan of the ever popular and sometimes over done IPAs or over hopped beers. This is as far as I'll go. It's a pale ale so it definitely has more hop bite than a porter, etc. But it's not over done, and it's refreshingly drinkable, a good summer beer. And I prefer the darker, stronger beers, Belgians being my fav.

This evening's beverage is a new offering from Parallel 49 Brewing. I say new because I hadn't seen it before... This is a true Belgian strong ale. It has the aroma, mouth feel, taste and look of a Trappist brew. I don't know how our local craft brewer did it but it is quite faithful to the type!

I only drink on the weekends but I went to the beer store on Sunday and picked up two six packs of Langunitas. One of "Brown Shugga" and the other of "Under Cover Investigation Shut Down Ale". These are strong beers . . . 9.6 and 9.9! There's a really interesting story behind the name of the second one . . . . check it out HERE. . . you will laugh!

Now Warsteiner I know we have. A quick check shows just the premium Pilsner. I did try these for the first time tonight. Striking out on the Danish Stout, I came up with the Faxe Danish beer. Surprisingly smooth for a 10%'er. Tipping the charts at 9% was the Belgian Chimay extra strong Ale. Good but not as nice as the Faxe or the other Chimay I have tried.

This popped up in the local Liquor store... I wasn't expecting an industrial beer from the big three being as good as this! It's not a Belgian or anything like that but to my palate, it is quite a step up from the regular stuff these people sell as 'beer'
